“I love this pacing because it's honest about how real change actually happens. Meaningful creative work unfolds on its own timeline. We can't rush the process of becoming ourselves.”

What a treat you and Teri are to your retreat community and the broader community as well!

Please tell me more about the creator retreat. When? How? How much? Where in the world? (I am fearful it is in UK)

Hi Pam.

The Creator Retreat is a 10-month slow growth approach for introverts and sensitive souls. We run this as both a closed small-group cohort (currently 13 members) that commit to the full 10-months with live zoom meetings every week. We also offer the content as self-study for paid subscribers. Paid subscribers (who are not in the cohort) get access to the video lessons the day after our workshops...and keep access to all prior content for as long as they subscribe.

We have a set curriculum based on spiritual inner work blended with business outer action that we offer the first week of every month. This curriculum is geared towards sensitive souls, and a slow and quiet growth as a digital creator based on developing engaged followers rather than focusing on hustle and increasing numbers. we look more for quality than quantity as our mark of success. This is not a get rich quick scheme. This is a heartful approach to creating.

We also bring in a high caliber of guest presenters. Each month we have a guest presenter who specializes in the theme of the month that matches the curriculum in the first week lesson. We also offer a number of bonus presentations through the months, those are more random, but all related to our mission.

the closed cohort gets a third meeting "hangout" with no agenda each month where we share in community and collaborate together. they also get a fourth meeting each month with a small group mentor. And they get 1-1 sessions with myself, Alex, and our writing sherpa, Neil Cunningham.

We have participants and guest presenters from all over the world. While most of us are USA based (I'm in St Paul MN), we have presenters from UK, Spain, Mexico, Canada, and more. Our live meetings are 12pm USA Eastern timezone. the replays are posted for paid subscribers the next day.

This first run of the program, we offered the program on a Dana Offering basis. This means that the cohort participants are engaging in a deep reflective process and completing data collecting value surveys each month. There is a base minimum rate with an option to pay more based on the value they are experiencing. At the end of the program we will engage in a process of looking at the data we compiled and determine a more definitive value, and participants then have the option to pay more over time (up to 3 years of auto-pay) until they feel like they have offered an equal reciprocation in payment to match the value they experienced. This is all an experiment, one to help me break some of my own unhealthy conditioning around money mindset, and to do some deep work in terms of what the true value of this program is, both monetarily and spiritually.

The Creator Retreat as a publication on Substack started in December 2024. We put out a call for applications for the closed cohort in January, conducted interviews in February, and started the 10-months in March. We will finish in December, and start the cycle again for next year...with applications in January.

I'm getting a little long-winded here...so I invite you to ask more questions in comments of other posts, to engage directly with some of the participants and guest presenters, and to consider becoming a paid subscriber, even just for one month, to peruse our content.

Alex and Teri Leigh, you two make such a power team for this group. Truly. I will say it again, though I've said it before: knowing you both and being in your orbits is such a delight and an honor. I learn something from both of you EVERY SINGLE TIME I read something you write. EVERY SINGLE TIME I read your comments. EVERY SINGLE TIME we connect on video. Seriously. You both fuel my creative energy. You ignite the sparks in me. And then I feel like I can go back into myself and access whatever it is that is being stirred into flame from the gifts you both so generously share.

Also, you are both friends to me. And that is a huge bonus to this severe introvert who does not live in a creative geographical region and who does not have any support from her inner circle of family and friends. You're both like this gentle exhale. Thank you.

If there's one program i sort of regret not joining...it's this. Sort of regret because I know everything has it's own right time and I'm trusting the process.

There's so much love, safety, support, community, learning and creativity here...the right kind (if it makes sense)...that it just expands your heart in the best ways! Every single time I read yours or Teri's post Alex...there's a smile on my face. Different kinds of smiles for different moods...but I've started noticing them deeply.

Thank you for your existence and being in this space and creating this amazing room of people!
